Bruises – Tabard

By Nadia Cavalle. Directed by Jean Claud -Fall

It is about two best friends, whose journeys through life lead them in very different directions.

It is about the struggle to forge our own identities within the confines of social expectations, and the damage and shame we can experience as a result.

It is about love, lust and capital.

It is about French literature, nominative determinism and dental hygiene.

It is about what we do with the shit that life throws at us.

BruisesĀ also explores the still hugely taboo topic of sex work in the hope of opening up a more informed and compassionate dialogue. In performing this play, we hope to contribute to the demystification of this part of life, and to explore it within the wider tapestry of human experience.
